What are the chances of a stadium in the UK being named after a referee? Maybe Grimsby could consider renaming Blundell Park "The Marriner Arena"? Well in Spain, they already have a stadium named after the country's most famous official and today, we bring you a picture of it festooned in snowy loveliness. The Estadio Pedro Escartin is home to Club Deportivo Guadalajara and was dedicated to the referee, coach & journalist in January 1970. Escartin had a high profile career which also included coaching La Selección on two occasions.
